East River Park
This collaboration between Architect Antonio Furgiuele
and et al. explores the transformation of Williamsburg, Brooklyn. We reclaim the fabric of our community reusing salvaged buildings to create a new over sized public performance stage. Steel gabions form skeletal structures waiting to be filled with local and reclaimed sites. A gluttonous jetty extends over time into the East River, it’s a new gauge of our relentless appetite for consumption, a neighborhood’s time-line, and a way for people to have new perspectives on their surroundings.
